At Motive, safety is our North Star. We’re building toward a future with zero harm and zero preventable accidents, and that mission drives everything we do.

At Vision 25, we shared what’s next: more than 10 new AI models launching in 2025 to help you prevent more accidents, respond faster, and save more lives on the road.

Why this matters

You’ve told us the stories.

Your driver pulls onto the highway shoulder for a quick break, unaware they’ve become a “sitting duck”. Minutes later, a speeding vehicle swerves and slams into the trailer. Stopped vehicle collisions kill 600 people and injure 15,000 every year.

Another driver insists their new night shift isn’t affecting them. But dash cam footage shows something else: frequent yawning, eye rubbing, lane swerving — before nearly sideswiping another car. Fatigue contributes to nearly 100,000 collisions and 800 deaths annually.

Real-time visibility is critical to spotting the warning signs early and intervening before it’s too late.

New AI stops accidents before they happen

Our latest AI models help you spot risks earlier, take action faster, and protect your drivers. These features are rolling out throughout 2025.

Unsafe Parking: Launched in February, AI-Powered Unsafe Parking Detection is already helping fleets intervene before roadside stops turn deadly. You get an alert the moment a driver parks unsafely, giving you time to call or message them, understand the situation, and intervene. And because we use computer vision, not just telematics and map data like most other vendors, the detection accuracy is unmatched.

Lane Swerving: 79% of fatigue-related collisions involve lane swerving. Motive is the first and only solution that detects repeated lane swerving over time, not just a single lane departure. Instead of isolated events, you see all occurrences in a single safety event compilation in the Motive Dashboard, making it easy to understand the full picture. In-cab alerts help drivers correct risky behavior on their own.

Fatigue Index: Fatigue builds gradually. Until now, you didn’t have visibility into all the fatigue signals. Motive’s Fatigue Index analyzes yawning, lack of movement, lane swerving, and nearly 10 other behaviors, combining with telematics, time of day, and drive time to predict fatigue early before an accident happens.

When risk is high, both you and the driver are alerted. You can see how different behaviors connect on a single safety event compilation for a complete picture of fatigue risk. Unlike other solutions, Motive uses generative AI to build models faster, detecting fatigue earlier and more accurately.

Proven results

A 2025 Motive study found that fleets reduced collisions by 80% within one year of deploying the Motive AI Dashcam. The findings are based on data from 60,000 drivers at fleets with more than 150 active vehicles. Since November 2023, these fleets have been using dual-facing AI Dashcams — preventing injuries, saving lives, and reducing costs along the way.

More visibility. More control. More lives saved.

With AI-powered detection, you don’t have to wait for disaster to take action. Prevent a driver from dozing off before they drift into oncoming traffic. Catch lane swerving before it causes a sideswipe. Intervene before an unsafely parked vehicle becomes a deadly crash site. It’s about catching risks early, before they escalate.
