Fleets often rely on multiple tools to collect and analyze massive amounts of vehicle data to inform critical operational decisions. However, disconnected systems and data silos can obscure the full picture of maintenance needs and lead to delays in detecting issues. Manual data transfers between disparate systems also create extra administrative work and increase the risk for error.

At Motive, we recognize how crucial streamlined access to data and reporting is for our customers, which is why we are excited to become the first AI platform to join Holman’s newly launched Telematics Preferred Integration Network (TPIN), connecting real-time data to Holman’s fleet management platform.

Through this integration, Holman customers can now see Motive vehicle and driver data in Holman Insights, Holman’s comprehensive reporting and analytics platform. This will give organizations a clear view of their vehicle and driver data in one place, helping to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, improve driver safety, and better control fleet costs.

Powerful maintenance insights to reduce downtime

Scheduled service should be based on actual mileage and engine hours — not guesswork. The integration is designed to trigger service alerts based on mileage, engine hours, and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and also monitor fuel usage and idling to help reduce operating costs.

This means fleet managers now have access to proactive maintenance recommendations, reducing breakdowns and keeping vehicles running longer.

By enabling Motive’s telematics to flow directly into Holman’s system, fleets now have full visibility into:

  • Engine hours and odometers: Enabling more accurate preventative maintenance scheduling to reduce unexpected breakdowns and extend asset lifespan.
  • Ignition ON/OFF state and idle events: Helping reduce fuel waste and unnecessary engine wear by identifying excessive idling and unauthorized vehicle use, directly lowering operating costs.
  • Driver behavior alerts: Improving safety and identifying coaching needs by flagging harsh braking, speeding, or aggressive driving.
  • Locations and trips: Optimizing route planning, improving dispatch efficiency, and providing reliable documentation for billing and compliance.

Unifying this data gives teams a clear, up-to-date view of vehicle health and driver behavior across their entire operation so they can act early, reducing costly disruptions and accidents.

Safety insights to improve driver coaching and reduce accidents

Safety is paramount in fleet operations. Motive’s safety insights into speeding, hard braking, and distracted driving events integrate with Holman’s safety and risk tools, helping fleet managers identify high-risk drivers earlier, deliver more targeted coaching, strengthen safety performance, and reduce accident-related and insurance costs.

This helps fleets:

  • Score and coach drivers using objective behavior data.
  • Demonstrate stronger safety performance to insurers and lower claims costs.
  • Identify high-risk drivers early, before costly accidents occur.

With this data, fleet managers have a more practical way to track and coach driver behavior to help lower accident frequency, control insurance and repair costs, and build a safer operation.

Better together

The integration expands the value of Motive’s platform for Motive and Holman customers by fitting seamlessly into existing fleet management workflows and creating a foundation for deeper, AI-driven automation across safety, maintenance, and operations over time.

By combining two critical parts of fleet management — real-time telematics and end-to-end fleet lifecycle management — into one connected ecosystem, Motive and Holman are working to eliminate data silos and enable fleets to make faster, data-driven decisions that may help reduce downtime, track driver behavior and improve fleet performance. Ultimately, this helps fleets manage vehicle health, safety performance, and operational costs.

Getting started

The Motive and Holman integration is available to Motive customers with an Enterprise-level subscription and can be activated via the Motive App Marketplace. Current Holman customers are encouraged to reach out to their account representatives to explore how this partnership can benefit their operations.
