What are the Texas intrastate hours-of-service rules?

The Texas intrastate hours-of-service rules apply to commercial drivers operating within the state of Texas. According to the Texas intrastate HOS regulations, drivers of commercial vehicles:

  • Can drive a maximum of 12 hours following eight consecutive hours of off-duty time
  • Can’t drive after 15 consecutive hours of on-duty time
  • Must have at least 34 consecutive hours of off-duty time after being on duty for more than 70 hours in seven consecutive days
