We’re excited to announce Motive was named in a list of top 100 cloud companies, also known as Forbes Cloud 100. A big part of our excitement comes from the fact that we’re the first-ever fleet management company to be featured on this list of breakout cloud companies.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Bessemer Venture Partners, Forbes and Salesforce Ventures as one of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world and the first company in trucking to be represented on this list,” said Shoaib Makani, CEO and co-founder, Motive. “The global trucking industry deserves to benefit from cloud technology, and this award underscores the importance of bringing the world’s trucks online to make freight more efficient and roads safer.”
This recognition as the only transportation company on Forbes Cloud 100 is a testament to how we’re successfully making life easier for drivers, fleet managers, and carriers, while reshaping the trucking industry.
Keep growing
In the last five years, we’ve grown to become one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in the world. We grew our revenue 80x in just one year.
We’ve increased the number of Motive employees to over 1,000 team members across 6 global offices, and expanded our customer base to over 30,000 companies.
This success also belongs to the 3 million truck drivers in the industry, who share our enthusiasm for safer roads and online connectivity.
Drivers first
From the beginning, all of our products were built with drivers in mind. In fact, our CEO Shoaib Makani and COO Obaid Khan spent a lot of time at truck stops to have in-depth conversations with drivers and learn about their biggest challenges.
Today, we have a community of over 500,000 truck drivers who are connected with the Motive ELD solution.
An ever-evolving Motive
From simplifying how commercial drivers log their hours-of-service to improving driver safety and streamlining communication, Motive is playing a pivotal role.
The data that the Motive electronic logging devices gather and share with fleet managers in real-time is also crucial for developing driver training programs and increasing the safety of our roads and highways.
America’s trucking industry is changing rapidly—with the introduction of new technological products and changing rules and regulations.
Motive’s vision is to connect the world’s trucks through technology and our work is just getting started.
