Today, we’re excited to introduce the next leap in driver safety. Motive’s new AI Dashcam Plus delivers unmatched AI capabilities, hands-free communication, and superior reliability in one unified device, designed to help you detect more risk, act faster, and prevent more accidents.

Detect more risk and prevent more collisions with unmatched AI capabilities.

Spot more unsafe behaviours with greater accuracy, powered by an industry-leading AI processor.

Many safety teams struggle with false positives or undetected safety issues because their hardware can’t process enough data in real time. Powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ QCS6490 processor, AI Dashcam Plus delivers 3x more processing power than other leading dash cams, enabling it to run 30+ high-precision AI models simultaneously. This means AI Dashcam Plus can support an expanded range of detection capabilities, designed to spot more unsafe behaviours in real time with higher accuracy and less latency.

Prevent rear-end and sideswipe collisions with stereo vision.

Two road-facing lenses work together to create stereo vision — powerful, human-like depth perception that allows the AI to more accurately judge how quickly the distance to vehicles and objects is changing. Expected in late 2026, stereo vision will dramatically improve the accuracy of Motive’s Forward Collision Warning, Lane Swerving, and Close Following alerts, giving drivers earlier, more reliable warnings to help avoid collisions.

Capture critical evidence with Automated Number Plate Recognition.

A high-resolution 1440p zoom lens with a narrow field of view enables Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to clearly capture number plates up to 8 metres away, or in rain or snow. Expected in late 2026, this feature can help provide critical evidence in hit-and-runs, theft, and other incidents, helping exonerate drivers and resolve incidents faster.

Detect complex events other dash cams miss with Sensor Fusion.

By combining video, audio, telematics, GPS, and dual motion sensor (IMU) data, AI Dashcam Plus can detect subtle or complex safety events, such as identifying a break-in from the sound of glass shattering, or confirming a low-severity collision through vibration and brake noise. Expected in late 2026, Sensor Fusion can help you respond faster to protect your drivers.

Give drivers instant, hands-free support when they need it most.

Enable hands-free communication with live two-way calling.

When conditions change on the road, reaching a driver quickly and safely matters. Relying on a separate mobile phone is unreliable. Phones aren’t always accessible, batteries die, and handheld phone use is illegal.

Coming in late 2026, live two-way calling will enable managers to reach drivers directly through the AI Dashcam Plus. By calling directly from the Motive Dashboard or Fleet App, managers can address time-sensitive issues like fatigued driving, weather emergencies, maintenance issues, and more. Drivers, meanwhile, can respond safely hands-free without having to use their phones.

Drivers can also connect instantly to managers using a simple “Hey Motive” voice command to report maintenance issues or request directions. A built-in speaker and digital omnidirectional microphone support clear conversations, even in noisy vehicle environments.

Get instant answers and capture video with Motive’s AI Voice Assistant.

Expected in mid-2026, drivers can say “Hey Motive” to instantly save critical footage, check remaining journey time, find the nearest service station, and more, all without taking their hands off the steering wheel or looking away from the road.

Drive real-time action and correct issues with AI Automations.

Coming in early 2026, automated alerts will prompt drivers to take quick, corrective action that can improve safety or reduce costs. This includes addressing critical, time-sensitive fault codes or shutting off the engine during unnecessary idling.

Reduce downtime with enterprise-grade reliability in one unified device.

Cut installation time by almost half and simplify hardware management.

AI Dashcam Plus combines a Vehicle Gateway and an AI Dashcam into a single device, cutting installation time nearly in half and eliminating extra hardware and cables. You get both Driver Safety and Tracking & Telematics features in one reliable piece of hardware.

Get more reliable uploads in critical moments.

A unified device design creates a more stable connection by eliminating the delays that can occur when an AI Dashcam and Vehicle Gateway operate as separate devices. In two-device setups, video has to pass from the dash cam to the gateway before uploading to the cloud. Each step increases delays — and the risk of failure.

With AI Dashcam Plus, video goes straight from the camera to the cloud. That means faster safety event uploads, helping ensure that critical collision footage uploads successfully, even if a cable disconnects after a severe incident. A built-in backup battery and 4G connection keeps recording and uploading, even if the vehicle loses power.

Get superior 4G coverage with dual-SIM, multi-network connectivity.

The AI Dashcam Plus uses two SIMs to give organizations more coverage options, automatically connecting to the strongest available network to prevent connectivity gaps. Coming in late 2026, customers can expect multi-network connectivity to provide uninterrupted vehicle tracking and timely video uploads, even in rural areas.

Built for a future of zero harm and preventable accidents.

AI Dashcam Plus is a huge step forward in Motive’s mission to help organisations achieve zero harm and zero preventable accidents. Since 2023, the Motive AI Dashcam is estimated to have helped prevent over 170,000 accidents and saved 1,500 lives in North America. On average, customers that used Motive’s AI Dashcam reduced collisions by 80%. AI Dashcam Plus builds on that proven foundation with more accurate detection, faster response, and safer ways to support drivers in real time.

AI Dashcam Plus is available in both road-facing and dual-facing configurations, giving organisations the flexibility to choose the setup that best suits their fleet, policies, and what’s right for their drivers.Take a look at the new AI Dashcam Plus and see how Motive Driver Safety can protect drivers and reduce risk today.
