“We were in the middle of collecting our insurance bids with our old provider and we were quoted triple our premium amount from the previous year,” explains Keri Thomas, President at InterMountain Express. “I got an email from Motive outlining a new insurance program that could provide significant savings on insurance premiums, and the timing couldn’t have been better.”

Designed to help fleets effectively manage insurance costs, the Motive SaferFleets program compliments Motive’s platform by surfacing essential fleet data to insurance providers, including fleet telematics data; Motive’s DRIVE risk score; critical safety data from events like hard braking, acceleration, and cornering; and collision data.
We were quoted $10,000 less per month by a provider in Motive’s SaferFleets insurance program. That’s $120,000 in savings every year.
This important fleet data can be shared — with customer consent — to provide the most realistic, comprehensive picture of safety performance to our participating SaferFleets insurance providers. This results in opportunities to identify cost savings that are not available through traditional insurance companies.
“Essentially, the SaferFleets program allowed us to remove the middleman — the brokers — that likely could have been the cause of our surging premiums,” adds Thomas. “Now with Motive, we work directly with our insurance company, which lowers our costs significantly.”
Through the SaferFleets program, InterMountain Express saved $120K on insurance annually.
